Crock Pot Turkey Chili

This makes a huge batch. Very easy and delicious.
Serves 6-8.

1 lb. ground turkey
1 small onion, chopped
1 (4.5 oz) can chopped chilies, drained
1 (14.5 oz) can black beans, undrained
1 (14.5 oz) can chickpeas, undrained
1 (14.5 oz) can kidney beans, undrained
1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes, with juice
1 (16 oz) can tomato sauce
1-2 Tbsp. chili powder, to taste

Cook turkey and onion in a medium fry pan over medium high heat. Cook until meat is no longer pink. Drain off fat and transfer cooked meat and onion to crock pot. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. (If you like your chili with less broth, then drain a bit of the juice of the canned beans. It said to cook on high for 6-8 hours but I only turned it on high for the last hour at the most. I was afraid the beans would get way too mushy. It turned out fine.)
