Gravy



With the fried chicken, I served some slow cooker potatoes and made a gravy.
Here's the recipe:

2 T butter (or drippings) - melt in pan
1 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. salt
Brown the above for 30 seconds

1/4 c. flour - mix to make a roux
2 1/4 chicken broth
1/4 c. water
1/4 tsp. worcestershire sauce

Mix together until smooth - bring to a slight boil and then simmer until thickened to taste.
Also good with sautéed mushrooms and/or onions.
