Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats (Scotcharoos)

Whatever you call them, they are delicious! If you double the batch, you can cover a regular sized cookie sheet.

For a single batch (would probably cover a 9x13 pan):
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. sugar
1 c. peanut butter
6 c. puffed rice cereal
2 c. chocolate chips

Melt 2 minutes and then 30 seconds at a time until melted together. While still warm, add the peanut butter. Mix it until it's well combined. Pour over rice krispies in a large bowl. Stir until well coated. Spread into a greased pan.

Melt the chocolate chips - 1 min to 30 seconds at a time - until smooth. Pour over rice krispies and smooth and spread out.
